Watermelon

Do you love watermelon, but hate cleaning it? Me too!

Whenever I get a watermelon I always cut it in half, clean it and cube it to eat right away. The other half usually goes into the fridge with the rind still on. Seems reasonable, right. Well, the problem is that it reminds me every time I open the fridge that the other half of the watermelon needs my attention and that it's taking up a whole lot of space. But the thought of making a mess again keeps that half in the fridge longer than it needs to be.

My solution to this dilemma was to tackle the whole watermelon at once. A little more work at the start, but worth it.

Easy Cheesecake Pie

Making a cheesecake in a pie plate and baking it in a low temperature oven makes this one of the easiest, most satisfying and foolproof cheesecakes that you will ever make. It's creamy and silky with just a touch of tang. The hardest part about making this cheesecake pie is waiting for it to cool completely before cutting into it.

Blueberry Sauce

Not too sweet… not too tart… In my opinion, that’s what makes a delicious blueberry sauce.

Hot Water Cobbler

My husband found this recipe on the internet, it was called The Best in the West Berry Cobbler.  He said that it had 22 reviews and all of them were positive.  With the recipe in hand, he headed to the kitchen to bake us a blueberry cobbler.

Blueberry Muffins

Blueberry muffins are a welcome sight in the morning or anytime for that matter. But they are especially delicious when they are made with fresh from the garden blueberries.  I have been blessed with a gift that has been giving and giving.

Easy Banana Puffs

My husband does not eat fresh bananas, but he loves (craves might be a better description) baked banana pie and unless he is on the north shore of Oahu or charming me into baking him one, you won’t find a double crusted banana pie anywhere (which is a shame, because they are quite tasty).

Bananas

Did you know?

That if you take your bananas apart from the stem and separate them, they will not ripen as quickly.

If you want them to ripen faster leave in a bunch connected at the stem.
