This will be the third and the last 16th birthday bash that Kono and I will have to host. Each of the kids had their own idea of what their theme would be and surprisingly enough they were all different. K.C. chose a casual dinner party, Cecily had a wild costume dance party and Lindsey has decided on a camping theme. It will be a late night for the elderly pumping ourselves with caffeine till the last boy leaves. All the girls are staying for a sleepover and we can only hope that they calm down before 2am. I’m getting to old for this late night stuff.

SCENE
Under a giant oak tree in our back yard Lindsey has set up several cut log stumps surrounding a fire pit with camping blankets and folding chairs. A small tent is set up off to the side strictly to enhance the camping theme and a giant cooler has been filled to the top with bottles of juice, pop and milk.
The neighbors have been warned that the music will be loud, but I can only hope that they will mellow and bust out their guitars and musical talent to move into a more calming camping scene. I won’t know for sure until tomorrow.
MENU
The hardest part of the menu was that Lindsey wants all her food to be served on a stick. No chips and dip on this menu or forks come to think of it. This is what Lindsey has chosen for her menu…
PROTIEN
Chicken, Steak, Kilbasa, Tofu and smart dogs on a stick
Shrimp Cocktail on a stick
Baby corndogs on a stick
Baby corndogs on a stick
Pot stickers on a stick
Side sauces for dipping, ranch, teriyaki and bbq.
VEGGIES & FRUIT
Baby mozzarella balls and cherry tomatoes on a stick
Cheese on a stick with a grape?
Fruit skewers, cantaloupe, pineapple and strawberries.
CARBS
Cheesy bread sticks on a stick
DESSERT
Dumb dumbs that came on a stick
Baby cream puffs on a stick
Cheesecake on a stick
Smores, you do have to roast the marshmallows on a stick…
I love this. This is hilarious. I told my friends that Lindsey is having a camping themed party and now everyone thinks I live on a farm.
